Dr John Obeid

Dr John Obeid graduated with Honours from the University of Sydney in 1992. He completed specialist physician training in Geriatric Medicine at Concord Repatriation General Hospital and Nepean Hospital, Sydney. He has been a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) since 1998.

Dr Obeid has held positions in both public and private hospitals in the fields of geriatric medicine, rehabilitation, stroke and medical administration. He is currently a senior Visiting Medical Officer at Fairfield, Norwest Private and The Hills Private Hospitals in Sydney.

Dr Obeid has a keen interest in teaching, through his role as a clinical tutor at University of Notre Dame Australia and University of Sydney and in a former role as Director of Prevocational Education and Training at Blacktown Hospital.

He has served on the Federal Council of the Australian and New Zealand Society for Geriatric Medicine since 2001
