Dr Jo Collins is a gastroenterologist with an interest therapeutic endoscopy (ERCP and endoscopic ultrasound), colorectal cancer screening and inflammatory bowel disease. She undertook her advanced gastroenterology training at Royal North Shore Hospital, with a further year of advanced endoscopy training at Bankstown Hospital. Jo then completed a two-year fellowship in advanced endoscopy at Addenbrooke’s hospital (Cambridge University Hospital) in Cambridge, UK. She is an accredited diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopist with the Conjoint Committee in gastroscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS and small bowel capsule endoscopy.
Jo is committed to patient-centred care. She has an interest in teaching, and has been actively involved in the education and training of medical students, junior doctors and gastroenterology trainees. She is a member of the Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA).
