Dr Kai Leong graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2009 with honours in medicine and surgery. He then completed all of his post-graduate medical training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital to become a dual qualified general medicine physician and cardiologist.
Dr Kai Leong completed his echocardiography fellowship at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, before being awarded an EACVI/ESC (European Society of Cardiology) grant to undertake further advanced imaging training (cardiac MRI and cardiac CT) at Imperial College NHS Healthcare Trust and the Royal Brompton Hospital in London, UK.
Dr Leong is a multi-modality cardiac imaging expert being SCMR and SCCT level 3 accredited in cardiac MRI and CT. He is also a fellow of the American Society of Echocardiography (FASE) and fellow of the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (FEACVI). Dr Leong holds a public appointment on consultant staff at the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
