Dr Kalpa Perera

Dr Kalpa Perera is a Vascular and Endovascular surgeon trained in all aspects of arterial and venous disorders. He performs both open and the latest minimally invasive techniques and will tailor treatment to the specific needs of his patients. Kalpa runs the High Risk Foot Clinic (HRFC) atthe Austin Hospital and has a keen interest in limb salvage in patients with limb threatening ischemia and diabetic foot disease. Kalpa also has a particular interest in complex endovascular repair of aortic aneurysms.

Kalpa graduated from the University of Melbourne and completed his junior years at Box Hill Hospital. He commenced his Vascular Surgery training at the major trauma centre of Royal Perth Hospital before spending his fellow years at major hospitals in Melbourne and Sydney. Kalpa worked with John Swinnen at Westmead Hospital who is well known as a pioneer in the management of haemodialysis access and it’s complications.
