Mr. Kareem Marwan is an experienced and accomplished consultant General, robotic surgeon with a sub-specialty in Colorectal (lower gastrointestinal) surgery.
Mr. Marwan's practice is largely minimally invasive, with Robotic Surgery at the centre of it. He also performs upper and lower GI endoscopy and advanced lower GI endoscopic surgery.
Mr. Marwan is fluent in Arabic and French.
Mr. Marwan obtained his surgical fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) in 2012, after training at St Vincent’s Hospital, the Alfred Hospital and Monash Medical Centre. He subsequently undertook a training fellowship in the area of Colorectal surgery in the UK (Colchester). Colchester Hospital NHS trust is one of the leading centres which pioneered laparoscopic bowel surgery.
Mr Marwan is a fellow of the Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS), a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd), a member of the Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain & Ireland (ACPGBI), a member of the European Society of Coloproctology (ESCP) and a member of the ASCRS (American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons).
