Dr Karen Shaw

Dr Karen Shaw is a General Surgeon and Breast Surgeon. She has a particular clinical interest and training in Breast Surgery for both benign and malignant conditions and has expertise in the use of oncoplastic techniques for the treatment of Breast cancer.

Karen graduated from Medicine at Sydney University and has also obtained both a Masters in Surgery and Graduate certificate in Breast Surgery at Sydney University. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, a Member of General Surgeons Australia and BreastSurgANZ Society.

Karen is passionate about providing high-quality care to breast patients together with multidisciplinary team members. She is committed to effective communication with a patient and their caring team – including their GP – to optimise health outcomes.

Areas of Expertise include breast cancer, benign breast disease (operative and non-operative management), high risk breast surveillance and breast reconstruction.
