Dr Karl Herba

Dr Karl Herba is a Gastroenterologist and Interventional Endoscopist with a special interest in Bowel Cancer Surveillance and Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy. In addition to Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy, Dr Herba has particular expertise in Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), Endoscopic mucosal resection, and Enteral Stenting. He also has extensive clinical experience in the endoscopic diagnosis and management of gastrointestinal cancers.

Dr Herba completed his advanced training in Gastroenterology at the McGill University Health Centre in Montreal, Canada. He is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) and has completed advanced endoscopy fellowship training in ERCP, EUS, and Interventional Endoscopy.

He has a strong commitment to clinical outcomes research and teaching in gastrointestinal endoscopy. Dr Herba holds Conjoint Committee Accreditation in Australia for Gastroscopy, Colonoscopy, Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) and Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP).
