Dr Kashif Sheikh

Dr Kashif Sheikh is a skilled and experienced gastroenterologist and has been practicing Gastroenterology and advanced Hepatology as a specialist in Queensland since 2014.

He is a strong consulting professional with FRACP focused on Gastroenterology and Hepatology from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. He also holds MRCP from Royal College of Physicians, London, United Kingdom. He has further undergone Fellowships at the Royal Free Liver Transplant Unit as well as University College London Hospital.

He is a visiting medical officer at Gold Coast Private Hospital, Pindara Hospital and Pindara Day Procedure Centre Gold Coast (PDPC).

Dr Sheikh brings experience on a wide variety of    gastrointestinal disorders including inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, complex liver and chronic pancreatic diseases.

Dr Sheikh provides specialist Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy services for conditions such as Gastroesophageal reflux disease, Inflammatory bowel disease and Colon cancer screening.

He also provides interventional endoscopy services for oesophageal dilatation, variceal banding, percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) and ERCP.  He is accredited by Gastrointestinal Society of Australia (GESA).

He accepts routine and urgent referrals through his rooms where support staff will happily facilitate expedited appointments for consultation and  endoscopic procedures.

He offers no gap services for insured patients and can bulk bill self-funding patients for endoscopy at their GP’s request.
