Dr Kate Barclay

Renowned for a comprehensive and personable approach, Dr Barclay specialises in the diagnosis and management of a broad range of respiratory and sleep conditions including lung cancer, respiratory infections, including tuberculosis, airways and interstitial lung disease.  She is also a specialised Sleep Physician with expertise in managing obstructive sleep apnoea, central sleep apnoea and other sleep conditions. 

As the Head of the Respiratory department at Northern Beaches Hospital, she leads a dedicated team committed to delivering top-tier care.  Dr Barclay actively participates in lung cancer and interstitial lung disease multidisciplinary meetings, contributing to collaborative efforts aimed at improving patient outcomes.  She has also participated in research in the areas of tuberculosis and pulmonary rehabilitation.

Dr Barclay is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and a member of the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand.
