Mr Keith Gomes

Mr Gomes is an experienced Neurosurgeon, focussing on Brain and Spinal Surgery.

Dr Keith Gomes completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at Monash University, Melbourne in 1997.

Dr Gomes completed his internship and residency training at The Alfred Hospital and worked as an anatomy tutor/lecturer at Monash and Stanford University.

Keith went on to complete his Neurosurgical training through the Australasian College of Surgeons in 2011, before undergoing further advanced training in Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery from the University of Calgary, Canada where he focussed on the surgical treatment of Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders with Deep Brain Stimulation.

Dr Gomes has extensive experience in Cranial Tumour Surgery, incorporating the latest imaging and surgical techniques. He then went on to complete further advanced training in Complex Spine Surgery in the UK in 2014. Throughout his training, Mr Gomes has acquired expertise in all forms of treatment for Trigeminal Neuralgia, including Radiosurgery, percutaneous treatments and Micro Vascular Decompression.

He also has a high level of knowledge in pain management and is proficient in spinal cord and Occipital Nerve Stimulation.
