Dr Khalid Rasouli

Dr Khalid Rasouli is a highly skilled Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist, renowned for his expertise in treating complex gastrointestinal and liver conditions. He completed his medical degree at the University of Sydney in 2014, followed by training at Westmead Hospital. Dr Rasouli then completed advanced training on the Central Coast before undertaking a fellowship in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and therapeutic endoscopy at Blacktown Hospital. He is fully certified by GESA in gastroscopy, colonoscopy, and capsule endoscopy. Dr Rasouli has published extensively in leading journals such as Gut and Gastroenterology, and plays an active role in training and mentoring the next generation of gastroenterologists.

Dr Rasouli is committed to delivering high-quality, individualised care, working closely with patients to create tailored treatment plans that address both their immediate health concerns and long-term well-being. His clinical expertise spans bowel cancer screening, iron deficiency, coeliac disease, IBS, IBD, oesophageal disorders, and liver disease management. His research focuses on minimising the impact of chronic conditions on quality of life and improving patient outcomes through advanced therapeutic endoscopy.

As an active member of the Gastroenterological Society of Australia, Dr Rasouli contributes to national clinical guidelines and leads initiatives to enhance gastroenterology education. He holds admitting rights at Norwest Private and Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospitals, and performs procedures at Lakeview Private and Strathfield Private Hospitals. Dr Rasouli offers flexible access to endoscopic procedures through three pathways: public, self-funded, and private no-gap procedures, ensuring comprehensive care for all patients.

Dr Rasouli places great importance on collaboration with GPs, working closely with them to ensure seamless care from diagnosis to treatment. Appointments are typically available within 2–3 weeks, with priority access for urgent cases.
