Mr Kiron Bhatia

Mr Bhatia is a General Surgeon, focussing on Upper Gastrointestinal & Bariatric surgery.

Kiron has comprehensive experience in Upper GI surgery including Bariatric Surgery, Oesophageal / Gastric cancer and Pancreatic Surgery, incorporating interventional endoscopy and advanced laparoscopic surgery. He has also established Heidelberg Weight Loss Surgery and Minimally Invasive Surgery Melbourne, providing a dedicated, multidisciplinary model for the management of Bariatric, General and Upper GI surgical patients. The team comprises of Surgical, Oncology, Nursing, Dietetics and Psychology services.

Kiron trained at St Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne with UGI fellowships at the Austin Hospital, Monash Medical Centre, Melbourne and National Cancer Institute Hospital, Tokyo, Japan.

He is a consultant surgeon with the upper gastrointestinal surgery unit at the Austin Hospital, Melbourne. He conducts private consulting, endoscopy and operating at Knox Private Hospital and Northpark Private Hospital.
