Dr Khor did his undergraduate studies from the University of Melbourne and anaesthesia training in Wellington Hospital, NZ before finishing his pain management training in Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney. He took up the position of staff specialist in Anaesthesia and Pain Management in Prince of Wales Hospital where he is Head of Department of Pain Management till present. In the UNSW where he has a Conjoint appointment, he is engaged with teaching pain medicine to students of the UNSW and collaborates in pain research. His private pain practice is based with Advanced Spine & Pain in the Prince of Wales Private and Waratah Private Hospitals.

Management of pain in a multidisciplinary setting and application of interventional procedures for both severe cancer and non-cancer pain. Current areas of research include opioid therapy, ketamine use for chronic pain and utility of self-management programs in chronic pain.
