Dr Lana Del Porto

Dr Lana del Porto is a comprehensive general ophthalmologist, she has extensive experience in the treatment of cataract and age-related macular degeneration. Dr del Porto has particular expertise in strabismus, paediatric ophthalmology, thyroid eye disease and neuro-ophthalmology.

Dr del Porto completed her medical degree at The University of Sydney, graduating with honours. Her ophthalmic training was at The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and subsequently at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London.

Dr del Porto is a consultant ophthalmologist at The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital. She contributes to the RANZCO training program by teaching cataract and squint surgery. Lana has completed research in thyroid eye disease, has multiple publications in the medical literature and has been an invited speaker at international conferences.

Lana sees all general ophthalmology patients including cataract and macula degeneration
