Dr Lawrence Yuen is a General Surgeon, with particular expertise and focussing on hepatobiliary, pancreatic and transplant surgery.
Dr Yuen is a medical graduate of the University of NSW and completed general surgical training through Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney. He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in General Surgery in 2010. Post-fellowship, Dr Yuen completed a year of training in kidney and pancreas transplantation at Westmead Hospital. He then continued with a second post fellowship year at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Liver Unit in Brisbane where he undertook further training in kidney and liver transplantation and further developed his skills in complex hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery.
Dr Yuen is a Clinical Lecturer in Surgery at the University of Sydney Medical School. He is also the Network Director, Surgical Skills training for Western Sydney.
Dr Yuen is a member of numerous societies in his areas of expertise including the Transplantation Society of Australia and New Zealand, Australia and New Zealand Hepatic, Pancreatic and Biliary Association and General Surgeons Australia and a member of the Transplant Advisory Committee of NSW, a clinical advisory body for issues related to transplantation.
