Dr Lionel Lim

Dr Lionel Lim is a medical oncologist based at Ringwood Private Hospital. He graduated from Monash University in 1996 and completed Physician training in 2002. He completed his advanced training in medical oncology at the Royal Melbourne and St Vincent’s Hospitals. In 2004, he worked as a research fellow at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. He has published several research papers in the area of colorectal and gastric cancers. Between 2005-2009, he completed a postgraduate research degree (MD, Uni Melb) at the Ludwig Institute of Cancer Research int- the development of a serumbased biomarker for the detection of colorectal cancer. Dr Lionel Lim is an experienced medical oncologist with an established private practice at Ringwood Private Hospital since 2005. He is als- a member of the oncology unit at Eastern Health (Maroondah Hospital). Dr Lim has a keen interest in tumours of the gastrointestinal tract (colon, rectum, pancreas, gastric, oesophagus), lung and prostate cancers. He regularly attends several cancer multidisciplinary meetings at Knox and Ringwood Private Hospitals (gastrointestinal, breast).

Dr Lim speaks fluent Cantonese, Hokkein, Malay and Mandarin.
