Dr Lochlin Brown

Dr Brown graduated from the University of Queensland in 2003, and in 2012 he completed his orthopaedic surgical training in Queensland.

Following his orthopaedic training, Dr Brown undertook a 12 month postgraduate fellowship in hip and knee surgery at the Royal Infirmary Hospital in Edinburgh, Scotland. His fellowship focussed on six months of complex primary hip and knee arthroplasty with Mr Colin Howie (Past President of the British Orthopaedic Association) and a further six months of soft tissue and sports knee surgery, osteotomy and knee replacement surgery.

Dr Brown was born on the Gold Coast and undertook his schooling at The Southport School (TSS). Since returning to the Gold Coast he is actively involved with the Gold Coast Suns and has an on field role as game day doctor. He has returned to the Gold Coast as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at the Gold Coast University Hospital where he is actively Involved in the training of junior medical staff, nursing staff, medical students and is currently the Director of training for Orthopaedic Surgery at Gold Coast University Hospital.

Dr Brown accepts DVA and Work Cover patients. He also has a keen interest in hip and knee arthritis surgery, joint replacement, knee reconstructive and Arthroscopic surgery, lower limb trauma and ankle reconstructive surgery. Orthopaedic trauma slots are available at short notice for all the above procedures. He is more than happy to be contacted by GPs and other healthcare professionals to discuss patients and organise consultation or admission.
