Dr Manju is a consultant Oesophago-gastric and bariatric surgeon. He undertook specialist training in UK and Australia including sub-specialist training in Oesophago-gastric and metabolic surgery (national board of upper GI training- AANZGOSA) at Perth and Austin, Melbourne (largest public bariatric unit in Australia). Following this he underwent a senior fellowship in Upper GI cancer and hiatal surgery at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Birmingham, UK (a high-volume European centre).
Dr Manju provides a comprehensive care across all the three facets of Upper GI surgery (Cancer, benign and bariatric), which he co-ordinates with an enthusiastic, well-trained team of dietician and exercise physiologist. He has a strong focus on clinical research and surgical education. He is an instructor for RACS courses, senior conjoint lecturer for multiple Universities, executive board member for RACS Upper GI committee, and an external faculty for MSurgEd at the University of Melbourne.
Dr Manju is thorough, precise, honest and empathetic in his approach to patients’ concerns and pathology. He has a great reputation that he has carried all throughout his training with regards to his communication. He is an active listener with undivided attention and an ability to explain complex surgical management without the usage of medical jargon.
