Dr Michael Prichard

Dr Michael Prichard is consultant physician with expertise in clinical respiratory and sleep disorders. He graduated from University of Western Australia in 1976, obtained his advanced qualifications in 1983 and has worked in Singapore, Melbourne and Perth. In the early 1980s he participated in epidemiological research in baker's asthma.

Following advanced training in respiratory medicine at SCGH he completed postgraduate research at Harvard University in 1985, concentrating on the field of host defences against respiratory infection.

His clinical and research interests include chronic cough, occupational asthma, obstructive sleep apnoea, general sleep disorders, gastro-oesophageal reflux, and pulmonary aspiration syndromes.

Dr Prichard is the Director of Perth Respiratory and Sleep Clinic (PRSC), PRSC is a quality driven specialist diagnostic and consulting service located centrally, with a 6 bed supervised sleep clinic based at the Mount Hospital, as well as portable diagnostic sleep service and respiratory function testing located in suburban locations
