A/Prof Navin Niles

A/Prof. Navin Niles is an accomplished Endocrine and Head & Neck surgeon focussing on Thyroid, Parathyroid, Adrenal and Salivary Gland surgery. Having pioneered Robot assisted thyroid surgery in Australia, he is  the most experienced surgeon in removal of the thyroid with no neck incision. He has set the benchmark in “scar-less” neck thyroid surgery. This allows A/Prof Niles to offer patients a wider spectrum of care from the traditional open thyroid/parathyroid operations to minimally invasive and “scar-less” neck surgery. Most importantly this gives patients more autonomy and greater choice. 

He received his medical degree from the University of New South Wales and undertook basic surgical training at Royal Prince Alfred hospital. His advanced surgical training was based at Liverpool hospital. Navin received his Fellowship to the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2009 followed by two further years of post-graduate training in Endocrine and Head & Neck Surgery. Navin sits on the International Organising Faculty of the 2nd World Congress in Thyroid Cancer held by the American Medical Association. He is a member of the International Association of Endocrine Surgeons and the Australian and New Zealand Endocrine Surgeons
