Mr Nezor Houli completed his general surgery Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2007. He then undertook three years of fellowship in HPB and upper GI training, including two years of liver transplant surgery, and was heavily involved in multi-organ retrieval. In 2010 Mr Houli travelled to Birmingham, UK, as the Paul McMaster fellow in HPB and liver transplants.
Mr Houli is extremely involved with teaching and examining medical students, is an examiner for the RACS and has public appointments at the Northern, Footscray and Sunshine Hospitals. He has developed experience in major hepatic and pancreatic resections via laparoscopic means and is trained with intraoperative ultrasound (open and laparoscopic) and uses this for all major HPB resections.Mr Houli is happy to do hernias (open or laparoscopic) and, of course, is happy to do many minor and major general surgical operations including cholecystectomy / appendicectomy / small bowel resections.
