Mr. Niruben Rajasagaram is a Consultant Bariatric, and Oesophagogastric Surgeon.
He is a reviewer for the Obesity Surgery Journal; the official journal of the International Federation for the Surgery of
Obesity and Metabolic Disorders (IFSO).
Mr. Rajasagaram continued to work as a Consultant Bariatric & Upper GI surgeon, performing Bariatric & Upper GI surgery at the Alfred
hospital till June 2018.
He is now focused in providing a more accessible bariatric practice in the private setting to both insured and self funding
patients.

Niruben graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland in 2001 and holds a bachelor degree in Medicine, Surgery and Obstetrics. He obtained his Membership to the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland (MRCS) in 2004. This was followed by advanced surgical training in general surgery at St Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne; becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons in 2011.
