Dr Omid Zarghom is a Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist.
After finishing his Physician training at The Alfred Hospital, Melbourne, Omid completed his gastroenterology training at The Royal Melbourne Hospital and Western Hospital in Victoria. He then undertook an Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) fellowship at The University of Toronto, Canada.
Omid has extensive experience in the management of complex gastrointestinal diseases including ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease. He has ongoing research interests in IBD and has published several articles on IBD in peer review journals.
Omid is a certified endoscopist with the Conjoint Committee for the Recognition of Training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (CCRTGE), an active member of the Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA) and a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. In addition, he has memberships with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) Canada, American Gastroenterological Association (AGA), and European Crohn’s and Colitis Organisation (ECCO).
