Dr Owen O’Neill is a current orthopaedic surgical consultant in the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, The Prince Charles Hospital and the Surgical Treatment and Rehabilitation Service (STARS).
He has a special interest and passion in disorders of the shoulder and elbow undertaking additional sub-specialty training in both elective and traumatic conditions of the upper limb at the Royal London and Bart’s Health Trust in the National Health Service, UK.
Owen grew up in Cairns, Far North Queensland, before completing his medical qualifications in Townsville at James Cook University. He then relocated to South-East QLD to begin his medical career, beginning his years as a junior doctor in 2010. He completed his orthopaedic training in Queensland and became a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2021.
