Dr Pallavi Desai

Dr Pallavi Desai is a gynaecologist with a particular clinical interest in prolapse and pelvic floor surgery.

Dr Pallavi Desai is a practising Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, and a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. (RANZCOG).  She has over 30 years of experience in the field, working in both urban and rural parts of India and Australia in public and private practice.  She has worked in the Kimberley and Perth and then moved to Melbourne in 2018.

Dr Desai is currently a specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist (public) at Joan Kirner Women’s and Children’s at Sunshine Hospital and performs gynaecological procedures at John Fawkner Private Hospital.  

She is an active member of the following societies:

• Urogynaecological society of Australia UGSA

• Australian Gynaecological Endoscopy Society AGES

• International Urogynecological Association IUGA

Dr Pallavi regularly attends workshops and conferences to constantly update her knowledge on recent advances and practices.  She is strongly involved in teaching and training aspiring gynaecology and obstetric specialists and is also involved with various RANZCOG committees.
