Dr Peter Fung

Dr Peter Fung gained his undergraduate medical degree from the University of Queensland and went on to specialise in obstetrics and gynaecology, obtaining his FRACOG fellowship in 1984.

Dr Fung has worked as a part-time clinical lecturer at the Medical School of Queensland University, teaching medical students, junior doctors and registrars. He has also been a specialist gynaecology consultant at the Mater, Princess Alexandra, QEII and Redlands hospitals.

He currently has a gynaecology practice at Sunnybank Private Hospital, with additional consulting services at Capalaba.

Dr Fung has maintained an interest in fertility treatment since 1996 and has particular expertise in laparoscopic surgery, colposcopy, stress incontinence and prolapse surgery. He is one of the few doctors at the Sunnybank Hospital who will perform reconstructive pelvic surgery using the latest mesh and sling devices
