Dr Raj Krishnan is a Queensland-trained orthopaedic surgeon who was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2018. Dr Krishnan underwent his undergraduate M.B.B.S. and post graduate orthopaedic training from one of the top medical schools in India. He then underwent his advanced training in the fields of hip and knee joint replacement, arthroscopic surgery and ligament reconstruction with Dr Ray Randle and Dr David Liu at the Gold Coast Centre for Bone and Joint Surgery.
> His main area of practise is management of orthopaedic conditions of the hip and knee.
> He has particular expertise in total hip replacement, total and partial knee replacement, sports and meniscal injuries to the knee as well as traumatic injuries of the lower limb.
> He also has interest in treating common hand, foot and ankle orthopaedic conditions and orthopaedic trauma.
Dr Krishnan has presented various international scientific papers and published papers in peer reviewed journals. He has been awarded the Mohandas Weller Gold Medal for the best scientific paper presented at the Indo German Orthopaedic Foundation seminar at Chennai in April 2006 and Prof. C. Vyageswaradu gold medal for best scientific paper presented in annual conference of Tamil Nadu Orthopaedic association held at Chennai March 2006.
He currently consults from sessional suites and performs his surgeries at Sunnybank Private Hospital.
