Dr Ravi Mahajani

Dr Mahajani grew up in Darwin and studied medicine at the University of Adelaide, graduating in 1994.

He commenced advanced training in plastic and reconstructive surgery with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, and in 2003 became a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery during which time he was awarded the WG Norman scholarship for surgical research. 

Dr Mahajani returned to Darwin in 2005 and became the first Head of Plastic Surgery at RDH. He then started Northern Plastic Surgery and Darwin Day Surgery.

Dr Mahajani is the Director of Darwin Day Surgery, Director of Northern Plastic surgery (NT), a Senior Specialist at Royal Darwin Hospital and Visiting Plastic surgeon to; Darwin Private Hospital, Royal Darwin Hospital, Gove District Hospital, Alice Springs Hospital and Darwin Day Surgery. He is also a Commander in the RANR.

He is an affiliate member with the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, a fellow of the college of surgeons Glasgow, and an instructor for the Early Management of Severe burns. He is currently the only resident plastic surgeon at Royal Darwin.
