Mr Ravish Jootun is a laparoscopic, robotic and endoscopic surgeon; General Surgery, Disease of colon and rectum.
Ravish qualified from the University of New South Wales, undertook his general surgical training in Melbourne and fellowship in laparoscopic bowel surgery in Western Australia.
Moving to the UK, he spent an additional 18 months completing an advanced Fellowship, Oxford University hospital where he gained valuable experience in complex laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery for benign and malignant disease of the colon and rectum. He then spent an additional 6 months training in robotic surgery at Portsmouth NHS trust in Robotic surgery and can offer safe surgery with improved cosmetic results and faster recovery compared to conventional surgery.
He has published several peer-reviewed scientific papers, presented at international conferences, teaches and lectures on all aspects of general surgical conditions, bowel cancer management and minimally invasive surgery.
He was awarded the Educator of Merit (Supervisor/Clinical Assessor) of the Year for 2017 from the RACS.
