Dr Raymond Kwok is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist at the Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD). He is a Staff Specialist at Blacktown and Mt Druitt Hospitals and a Visiting Medical Officer at Norwest Private Hospital.
He graduated from the University of New South Wales with a combined degree in Medicine and Science. He then undertook training in Sydney at Concord, Nepean and Bankstown Hospitals and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA) certification in 2011.
In 2013, Dr Kwok completed 18 months as the Visiting Research Fellow at the Institute of Digestive Diseases, Prince of Wales Hospital, The Chinese University of Hong Kong and collaborated on several research projects. Dr Kwok then held a position as Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist at Alexandria Health, Kho- Teck Puat Hospital, Singapore for three years.
Dr Kwok has published articles that have been highly cited in GUT and APT, and co-authored an abstract that was awarded a top 10 percent poster at the 2017 Asian Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver (APASL), held in Shanghai. Dr Kwok completed his PhD at the University of Sydney, researching clinical utilities of transient elastography.
Dr Kwok manages a variety of gastroenterology disorders and provides diagnostic and therapeutic general endoscopy services to elective outpatients as well as acutely unwell inpatients.
