Dr Richard Plomley is an specialist allergist and immunologist with a multilocation practice in central and suburban Melbourne.
He has special interests in allergy vaccines, and he provides allergen vaccines for cat, dog, dust mite, grass pollen and bee and wasp venom. He treats chronic severe dermatitis and hives with immunomodulation. He is also interested in modern diagnostic laboratory methods in food allergy. He cares for acutely ill patients in hospital with hives, eczema and asthma as well as anaphylaxis and immune deficiency, and runs transfusion clinics for patients with immune deficiency
Dr Richard Plomley was born in Melbourne and educated at Glamorgan and Melbourne Grammar Schools. Undergraduate studies were at the University of Melbourne. Internship at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, and FRACP General Internal Medicine while at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. Clinical Immunology Research was at University of Melbourne Department of Medicine, and Laboratory Immunology Research at University of Western Ontario, Canada. Clinical Allergy studies were at the Alfred Hospital. Public Hospital clinical allergy work previously in the Alfred Asthma and Allergy Clinic and Royal Melbourne Hospital Allergy Clinic. Currently he works in private clinics and hospitals in central and suburban Melbourne.
