Dr Robert Gandy is an Upper GI, HPB and General Surgeon at Prince of Wales Private Hospital with significant clinical expertise in laparoscopic surgery and hepatobiliary cancer.

Dr Gandy has extensive training in upper abdominal surgery, hernia surgery and endoscopy.

Dr Gandy’s  focus is on providing high-quality personalised care to patients with upper abdominal cancers, including those of the liver, pancreas, gallbladder, bile ducts, stomach, and oesophagus.

Dr Gandy completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Leeds in 2002, Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2006. In 2006, he commenced further surgical training in Australia, including Masters in upper GI Surgery, in 2010 and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons following advanced surgical training.

His post-fellowship training focused of surgery of the stomach, liver, pancreas and gallbladder, which resulted in accreditation with the Australia & New Zealand Hepatopancreatobiliary Association (ANZHPBA) and the Australia & New Zealand Gastric & Oesophageal Surgery Association (ANZGOSA).
