Dr. Ruchi Singh is an experienced Urogynaecologist focusing on Pelvic floor dysfunction in women including - pelvic organ prolapse, urinary and faecal incontinence, painful bladder syndrome and recurrent urinary tract infections and other related conditions. She also has an interest in general gynaecology including menstrual disorders, pelvic pain and female sexual dysfunction. Dr. Ruchi works out of Metropolitan Melbourne and the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
During her undergraduate training in medicine, Dr. Ruchi Singh developed a keen interest in Women’s Health. She went on to do post graduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and obtained her Masters degree in India and also did her membership with the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecology (RCOG), UK. She moved to Australia in 2007 and obtained the Fellowship of Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (RANZCOG) in 2009. During her training Dr Singh noticed the preponderance of pelvic floor disorders in our population, hence she pursued this area by joining the formal advanced training program in Urogynaecology and Pelvic reconstructive surgery at the Royal Women’s Hospital in Parkville.
She is currently working as a consultant in the Pelvic floor unit at the Royal Women’s Hospital and Boxhill Hospital. She also practices Obstetrics in the public system. At these teaching hospitals she is actively involved in training of young doctors and academic research. She enjoys working in the multidisciplinary setup and also has given lectures in the university of Melbourne. She has presented at international conferences and recently won 2 oral presentation awards. Dr Singh has also received a RANZCOG scholarship for research in pelvic floor dysfunction in 2014.
Dr Singh is fluent in Gurjarti and Hindi.
