Dr Russell Golden

Dr Russell Golden is a consultant psychiatrist and clinical director of the P.R.E.P Eating Disorder Program at the Geelong Clinic. Renowned for his innovative approach to psychotherapy, he is dedicated to developing effective new treatments including the P.R.E.P Eating Disorder Program. Dr Golden's contributions to the field were recognised with the 2013 RANZCP Psychotherapy Section Award.

His academic roles include as an honorary senior lecturer at Deakin University, where he leads the curriculum development and mentorship of medical students, psychiatry, and GP registrars and actively contributes to training and education initiatives within the RANZCP and RACGP.

A member of the Australia and New Zealand Academy for Eating Disorders, Dr Golden was invited to present the pioneering P.R.E.P program at the 2017 ANZAED conference, where it was recognised for its innovation in eating disorder treatment.
