Dr Sachin Khetan

Dr Sachin Khetan is a Darwin-based Rheumatologist. He is a senior staff specialist at the Royal Darwin Hospital and an adjunct academic lecturer at the Flinders University.

After graduating from Medical College, Kolkata Sachin proceeded to complete core medical training in the United Kingdom. After finishing the Rheumatology training in the South Yorkshire region, he worked as a Specialist Rheumatologist at the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals before permanently relocating to Darwin in 2017.

Dr Khetan has a strong teaching interest. He is a Director of Clinical Training at the Royal Darwin Hospital and is actively involved with training undertaking a supervisory role for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.

Dr Khetan also has a strong research background. As a rheumatology trainee, he worked as a clinical lecturer at the University of Sheffield under the guidance of Professor Gerry Wilson and has published his research work in journals like PNAS & Annals of Rheumatic Diseases.

Dr Khetan has a clinical interest in musculoskeletal ultrasound and is a member of the Australian Rheumatology Association.
