Dr Sam Asadi

Dr Asadi has been a psychiatrist for more than two decades. He has extensive experience in treating psychological conditions and is passionate to help people with these problems. He has been living and working in Melbourne for many years, and has an in-depth understanding of the diverse community as well as available services in the city of Melbourne.

Dr Asadi has practised psychiatry in different capacities and in diverse clinical settings, both internationally and nationally. He has conducted several research studies on mental health issues while working as an A/Professor of Psychiatry at Tehran University and as a Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne. In recent years, he decided to devote all his time to helping people with psychological problems. He worked as a psychiatrist at Melbourne Health from 2008 to 2012 and as a full-time private psychiatrist since 2012.

He currently works at Northpark Private Hospital in Bundoora as well as Glencairn Consulting Suites in Coburg. Dr Asadi is an adult psychiatrist and uses a holistic approach including counselling, psychotherapy, and medications. He provides state-of-the-art treatment for depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder, psychosis, schizophrenia, and personality disorders. He provides secondary consultations to GPs (Item 291) and sees clients on WorkCover.
