Dr Samir Benjamin

Dr Samir Benjamin is a psychiatrist with more than 30 years’ experience in the specialty of Psychiatry. He is a Visiting Medical Officer the Hills Private Hospital and the NSW Transcultural Mental Health Centre, Sydney.

Dr Benjamin has completed the training for the assessment of Psychiatric Impairment for the Motor Accident Authority, and has completed the training for the assessment of Psychiatric Impairment for the Work Cover Authority.

Samir is a Member of the Australian Association for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and has an extensive experience in Medicolegal Psychiatry, including Civil and Criminal Litigation. He is an International Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, and a Fellow of the Australian College of Legal Medicine.

Dr Benjamin accepts referrals in General Psychiatry and he also performs Medico-legal Assessments for compensable claims, including workers compensation, third party and public liability.
