Dr Sanjay Nandurkar

Dr Sanjay Nandurkar, a Gastroenterologist working at Knox and Ringwood Private Hospitals.

Dr Nandurkar is fluent in Hindi and Marathi.

Dr Sanjay Nandurkar graduated in 1986 and completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology in 1995. After establishing a track record in research in Sydney he went to work at the prestigious Mayo Clinic in USA to gain experience in Gastro-intestinal and Oesophageal motility and in functional bowel disorders. After returning to Australia Dr Nandurkar established the Oesophageal and Functional Bowel Clinics at Box Hill Hospital and he set up the Oesophageal Laboratory for Manometry and pH studies and the earliest Breath Testing facility. He set up the integrated PEG service at Eastern Health to care for patients in the community. Dr Nandurkar has been actively involved in teaching (medical students and post graduates) and has an appointment at Monash University as a Senior Lecturer.

He remains actively involved in research and has published numerous research articles in leading medical journals. He is also an expert reviewer for top journals such as Gut, Ali. He has a wealth of experience in many aspects of Gastroenterology and known for providing a caring service to all his patients.
