Mr Sanjay Sharma

Dr Sanjay Sharma is a Perth Cardiothoracic Surgeon, treating patients at the Mount Hospital.

Dr Sharma completed his medical degree at the University of Western Australia before undergoing a surgical training program in cardiothoracic surgery at the Royal Perth Hospital, eastern parts of Australia and New Zealand. Dr Sharma completed post-fellowship training focusing on advanced techniques of minimally invasive valve surgery, transplantation and blood conservation principles, lung cancer surgery and chest wall reconstruction, at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston Massachusetts. He has contributed to research publications and presented extensively in peer-reviewed journals. He also serves on the Medical Advisory Committee and Clinical Review Committee for the Mount Hospital and is a senior instructor with the Royal College of Surgeons.

Dr Sharma also has a keen interest in minimally invasive management of hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating from the armpits and hands).  He regularly treats patients with this condition at the Perth Sweat Clinic.
