Dr Sara Stoler

Dr Sara Stoler is a Nephrologist passionate about delivering holistic and comprehensive care to her patients, ensuring that they receive the best possible treatment and support throughout their journey with kidney disease.

Her clinical expertise and interests encompass a wide range of kidney-related conditions including chronic kidney disease, glomerulonephritis, complex kidney disease patients, renal transplantation, dialysis and renal supportive care.

After coming across to Australia she completed a fellowship in renal transplantation followed by a fellowship in renal supportive care at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney. She is a staff specialist at Prince of Wales Public Hospital. She trained in South Africa and graduated cum laude from the University of Witwatersrand in 2010 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBCh). She then undertook general physician training graduating in 2017 (FCP(SA)). She simultaneously did her masters thesis graduating with distinction in 2018. Her masters thesis studied the causes of long term kidney allograft loss and dysfunction with an emphasis on antibody mediated rejection of kidney transplants. After admission to the College of Physicians in 2017 she further specialised as a nephrologist in 2021(Cert Neph(SA)). She is currently enrolled in further research to try and expand living kidney transplant donation rates and improving access to kidney transplants.
