Dr Sarah O’Reilly-Harbidge is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in Hip and Knee surgery as well as Orthopaedic Oncology who consults and operates at Knox Private Hospital.
Having completed undergraduate studies at the University of Newcastle she then went on to complete her training across various New South Wales hospitals in both metropolitan and regional areas giving her a strong grounding in both orthopaedic elective trauma surgery. Dr O’Reilly-Harbidge was selected to complete a term as a clinical fellow, training at The Shriners Hospital in Portland, Oregon USA, a complex elective paediatrics and trauma centre which exposed her to complex limb salvage surgery. Upon completing her training she attained the prestigious Commonwealth Fellowship at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in the UK and underwent further training as a sarcoma orthopaedic and arthroplasty surgeon and had the privilege of holding a post as a consultant prior to returning to Australia.
Dr O’Reilly-Harbidge is a strong advocate for females in orthopaedics and served as member of the AOA Diversity Strategy Development Group. She is a member of the Australian Orthopaedic Trauma Society, the Australia and New Zealand Sarcoma Association and has presents regularly at conferences.
