Dr Sesh Narasimhan completed his General Cardiology training at John Hunter Hospital here in Newcastle. He consolidated his rural cardiology experience at Tamworth Hospital and there assisted to establish the inpatient Transthoracic Echocardiography Service as well as the Cardiac Rehabilitation and Heart Failure Outreach Clinics. Dr Sesh has completed two years of Interventional Cardiology fellowships in both the US and Canada. He is a Conjoint Lecturer at the University of Newcastle and an Adjunct Senior Lecturer a the School of Rural Medicine UNE. He teaches clinical skills to year 4 and 5 medical students and contributes to the Joint Medical Program. In addition to his commitments to students, he is actively involved in training Registrars for the FRACP examinations.
Over Dr Sesh's career, he has endeavoured to contribute to the academic world and clinical medicine. He has achieved this through peer reviewed research manuscripts focusing on cardiology. His passion for research is life long and he continues to devote his time to research, clinical medicine and teaching.
