Dr Ninan was born in South India and migrated to Australia in 2006.
He dual trained in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery both in India and Australia.
Dr Ninan practices as a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at Darwin Private Hospital, performing surgeries on both paediatric and adult patients. He also performs cosmetic surgeries such as breast augmentation, abdominoplasty, liposuction, otoplasty and eyelid surgery.
He has been Senior Fellow in Maxillofacial & Head and Neck Surgery at RDH; Senior Fellow in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Adelaide in 2008 & 2009; and Senior Fellow in Craniomaxillofacial Surgery in Royal Adelaide Hospital in 2010.
Dr Ninan became Director of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in RDH in 2011 and is a senior lecturer with Flinders University, actively teaching medical students from Flinders University, NT clinical School, Interstate and overseas.
Dr Ninan was appointed as the Supervisor of Training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2014.He is also a member of Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons.
He volunteers for Humanitarian medical mission annually with Australian based organisation - Helping Children Smile Inc. performing cleft lip, nose and palate surgery to the underprivileged children in the Philippines.
