Dr Simon Elix

Dr Simon Elix is the founder and Director of Nautilus Orthopaedics in Darwin and recently expanded his practice nationally, with the establishment of Nautilus Orthopaedics at St Stephens Private Hospital in Queensland.

Darwin born and bred, Dr Elix did his internship and basic training in his hometown and completed his Advanced Orthopaedic training in Queensland.

He obtained FRACS in 2008 and BMBS at Flinders University, Adelaide in 2000.

Dr Elix completed his Orthopaedic Sports Fellowship Training in Canada in 2009, at the University of Alberta and gained valuable skills and experience in surgical management of complex joint injuries, particularly knee and shoulder.

He has memberships at AOA and RACS and was the Secretary of the RACS NT Regional Committee in 2012-13.

Areas of interest include: Joint Replacement (including hip, knee and shoulder) Sports Surgery (including complex knee and shoulder surgery), General Orthopaedics and Trauma Surgery.

Dr Elix has a great love of the Northern Territory and its locals.
