Dr Sridhar Chitturi

Dr Chitturi completed his endocrine training in PGIMER, Chandigarh, India in 2003. He moved to Australia in 2005 and undertook fellowship in Paediatric endocrinology (Mater Hospital-Brisbane), Endocrine hypertension (Princess Alexandra Hospital-Brisbane) and Obstetric Medicine (Royal Women’s Hospital-Melbourne).

He is a Senior Staff Specialist and Clinical lead in endocrinology in Royal Darwin Hospital. He provides consultative service for the in-patients admitted to Darwin Private Hospital and The Darwin Clinic.

He believes in constant improvement with emphasis on evidence based medical practice and translating the latest research findings into clinical practice. He is active in teaching, safety and quality activities as well as clinical research.

In addition to his broad experience in all aspects of adult endocrinology and diabetes he has experience in Endocrine Hypertension, Obstetric Medicine and transgender health. He routinely manages disorders of pituitary, thyroid, adrenal, gonads, lipids, bone and mineral metabolism. He also cares for teenagers with growth and pubertal problems. He has been serving Territorians since 2009.
