Dr Tara Luck

Dr Tara Luck is a General Surgeon with post training fellowship in Upper GI surgery.

Dr Luck grew up in Darwin. She then went on to study and work as a clinical dietitian, both in Darwin and London, before studying Medicine and Surgery at Flinders University, where she graduated as the highest ranked student, with Honours.

Dr Luck completed her surgical training in Melbourne, working in busy surgical units, including; colorectal, breast and endocrine, thoracics and bariatric units. This training was complemented by a further Fellowship year in Upper GI Surgery, under the mentorship of the Chair of the Australian Board of General Surgery.

Dr Luck is interested in laparoscopic and open gastrointestinal surgery and anti-reflux surgery, as well as the full suite of general surgery. She is a qualified endoscopist.
