Dr Tim Chang is a Gynaecologist, Advanced Endoscopic Surgeon, and Fertility Specialist with over two decades of specialist practice. He is recognised as one of Sydney’s most experienced minimally invasive gynaecological surgeons, with particular expertise in complex benign gynaecology, advanced endometriosis surgery, and fertility care.
Established in the Macarthur region since 2000, Dr Chang consults exclusively in Campbelltown and holds Visiting Medical Officer appointments at Campbelltown Public Hospital and Campbelltown Private Hospital.
Dr Chang is recognised for his expertise in advanced Robotic, laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, with a particular focus on the treatment of severe and complex endometriosis. He performs Level 6 endometriosis surgery and works within a multidisciplinary network managing advanced disease involving the bowel, bladder, ureters and pelvic sidewall. His surgical philosophy centres on precision, minimally invasive techniques and restoring quality of life while avoiding open surgery wherever possible.
In addition to endometriosis care, Dr Chang has extensive experience in the management of fibroids, abnormal uterine bleeding, adenomyosis, pelvic pain, prolapse and urinary incontinence. He is known for combining technical excellence with a calm, compassionate and highly personalised approach to patient care.
Dr Chang is also a consultant fertility specialist with IVF Australia , providing comprehensive reproductive and fertility treatment including IVF, ovulation induction and fertility-preserving surgery for women with complex gynaecological conditions.
He graduated from The University of Sydney and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG). His specialist training was undertaken at leading tertiary hospitals including Liverpool Hospital, Westmead Hospital and Royal North Shore Hospital, with further advanced training in minimally invasive surgery internationally in the United States and China. He has completed IFEM Endo masterclass level 1 (internationally recognised centre of excellence in endometriosis, Bordeaux).
A passionate educator and mentor, Dr Chang is Director of the AGES Fellowship Program at Campbelltown and plays a leading role in advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopy training for RANZCOG registrars and fellows. He regularly lectures at national conferences, teaches advanced surgical workshops and has authored peer-reviewed publications in minimally invasive gynaecological surgery.
Dr Chang’s approach is grounded in evidence-based medicine, meticulous surgical care and an unwavering commitment to helping women regain confidence, wellbeing and quality of life.
Outside medicine, he enjoys ocean swimming, golf, tennis, travel and cooking for family and friends.
