Dr Timothy Siu

Dr Timothy Siu is a highly experienced Consultant Neurosurgeon with expertise and special interest in minimally invasive spinal surgery, having pioneered new and modified techniques in this field. His clinical expertise also extends to awake surgery, multimodal imaging and electrophysiology guided surgery for eloquent brain and endoscopic surgery for pituitary tumours.

Further to completing medical and specialist training as a Consultant Neurosurgeon in Sydney, Dr Siu joined the fellowship program at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Centre (USA) where he undertook further advanced training in the management of brain, spine and peripheral nerve tumours. He then went onto to complete a Doctorate in Visual Neuroscience from the University of New South Wales.

Dr Siu has been involved in numerous research projects and has co-authored and published extensively in his field of specialty. As a leading expert in minimally invasive spinal surgery, he is amongst the first in applying 3D printing technology to create custom made implants for treatment of spinal deformity. Dr Siu is committed to education and continued professional development attending local and national industry and professional events and conferences.
