Dr Tony Pang

Dr Tony Pang is a Pancreatic and Hepatobiliary Surgeon with a particular interest in minimal invasive surgery.

He graduated from medical school at the University of New South Wales in 2004 and undertook surgical training at Royal North Shore Hospital. He then completed further training in pancreatic and hepatobiliary surgery under the highly competitive post-fellowship training program of the ANZHPBA (Australia New Zealand Hepatic, Pancreatic and Biliary Association). He spent this training period at Westmead Hospital in Sydney and Tan Tock Seng Hospital in Singapore. During this time, he acquired experience in open and minimally invasive techniques in pancreatic and liver surgery, including laparoscopic Whipple procedure.

Dr Pang’s research interests relate mainly to the treatment of liver, pancreatic and biliary disorders. He has published 25 peer-reviewed journal articles and presented at many national and international conferences.

Dr Pang also has a strong belief in helping others in need and has been a volunteer surgeon with Mercy Ships in the Congo and was also an instructor at a volunteer initiative to help surgeons and trainees develop laparoscopic skills in Sri Lanka.

Dr Pang is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
