Dr Vikram Balakrishnan is a consultant General, Colorectal and Laparoscopic Surgeon servicing Melbourne’s growing northern and eastern corridors. Vikram performs all endoscopy (Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy for e.g. management of anaemia, +FOBT), provides a comprehensive cancer service and manages anorectal disease (e.g. haemorrhoids and anal fissures) and hernias (including laparoscopic surgery)

Vikram consults weekly in Bundoora, providing an efficient, caring and professional service. He sees all patients, both private and uninsured. 

Vikram completed his medical training at The University of Melbourne and spent his clinical years at St Vincent’s Hospital. He subsequently underwent specialist Colorectal training through the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSSANZ).

Vikram is happy to speak directly with GPs regarding complex patients and to provide advice.
